Default command level
2: System level
Parameters
incoming: Switches the ISDN protocol state to Active after sending a CONNECT message, without
having to wait for a CONNECT ACK message from the ISDN switch.
outgoing: Switches the ISDN protocol state to Active on receiving a CONNECT message, without
sending a CONNECT ACK message.
Usage guidelines
The ISDN protocol must wait for the CONNECT ACK message in response to the CONNECT message
before it can switch to the ACTIVE state to start data and voice service communications.
After the ISDN protocol receives a CONNECT message, it needs to send a CONNECT ACK message in
response.
In the event that the router is communicating with an ISDN switch, its settings must be the same as those
on the switch.
You are not allowed to configure this command on an ISDN interface if a call still exists on it. This
command can take effect only if it is configured when no call exists on the interface. Alternatively, you
can manually disable the interface by executing the shutdown command, configure the command, and
then enable the interface by executing the undo shutdown command. The operations, however, will lead
to the disconnection of the call existing on the interface.
Examples
# Set the call process on the BRI interface 2/0 to proceed to the ACTIVE state without waiting for
CONNECT ACK messages.
