Parameters
multicast-mac-address: Multicast address that the DLSw Ethernet redundancy function uses for
primary/secondary router election. The multicast address is in the format of xxxx-xxxx-xxxx and with the
Ethernet byte order.
priority: Priority that the DLSw Ethernet redundancy function uses for primary/secondary election. The
priority is in the range of 0 to 254 and defaults to 100. A smaller value means a higher priority.
Usage guidelines
With this command enabled on an Ethernet interface, the Ethernet interface sends out a multicast packet
with the destination MAC address multicast-mac-address every 10 seconds. In the primary/secondary
router election, an interface with higher priority wins, and a smaller MAC address wins when the two
interfaces have the same priority.
Examples
# Enable DLSw Ethernet redundancy on interface Ethernet 1/1, configure the multicast address as
9999-9999-9999, and set the priority to 10 for primary/secondary router election.

dlsw ethernet-backup map

Use dlsw ethernet-backup map to enable the Ethernet switch support for DLSw Ethernet redundancy,
configure the map between the local MAC address and the remote SNA device MAC address, and
specify the backup DLSw device which will take over to perform MAC address translation when the
current device is not available.
Use undo dlsw ethernet-backup map to disable the Ethernet switch support for DLSw Ethernet
redundancy on the Ethernet interface.
Syntax
dlsw ethernet-backup map local-mac local-mac-address remote-mac remote-mac-address [ neighbor
neighbor-mac-address ]
undo dlsw ethernet-backup map local-mac local-mac-address remote-mac remote-mac-address
Default
The Ethernet switch support for DLSw Ethernet redundancy is enabled.
