4.8.1. Replacement of gearbox unit, axes 1-2-3

5. Remove the tie rod.
6. Remove the parallel arm.
7. Remove the complete arm system.
8. Unfasten the robot from the foundation.
9. Fit and secure straps (A) around the rear
part of the gearbox unit, as shown in the
figure to the right. Attach the straps to
lifting slings with a hoisting block.
Fit and secure hooks to the lifting lugs
(B).
Use the same crane for both attachment
points.
10. Lift the gearbox unit together with the
base and use the hoisting block to tip the
complete assembly forward 90°.
