Clean the housing and under cover mating surfaces

thoroughly using a shop towel and degreasing cleaning

Apply liquid gasket (ThreeBond® #1216E or equivalent)

to the housing in the areas shown.

Install the under cover [1] and six screws [2] and tighten

them to the specified torque.

TORQUE: 2.4 N·m (0.24 kgf·m, 1.8 lbf·ft)

Install the tiller handle (page 19-22).

COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION

Check for continuity between the terminals with the

switch in each position.
