ASSEMBLY
Check the relief valve [1] surface for scores, scratches
and other damage.
Apply engine oil to the relief valve and the relief valve
spring [2].
Install the following parts to the oil pump [3].
– Relief valve
– Relief valve spring
– New sealing washer [4]
– Sealing bolt [5]
Tighten the sealing bolt to the specified torque.
TORQUE:
Install the roller [6] into the oil pump shaft [7], and install
the thrust washer [8] and oil pump shaft on the oil pump
body.
Clean the inner rotor [1] and the outer rotor [2]
thoroughly.
Apply engine oil to the inner rotor and outer rotor, and
install them on the oil pump body.
Install the rotors in the same direction as noted on
disassembly.
Install the new O-ring [3] on the oil pump body.
Install the oil pump cover [4] on the oil pump body, and
tighten the three bolts [5] securely.
After installation, check that the rotors move smoothly
by turning the oil pump shaft.
