BLINKS
1. MIL inspection
Check to see if the MIL stays on.
Does the MIL stay ON?
YES
NO
2. Oil level inspection
Stop the engine and check the oil level.
Is the oil level at the proper level?
YES
NO
3. Oil indicator light inspection 1
Let the engine idle.
Check the oil indicator light and buzzer.
Does the oil indicator light come ON and warning buzzer stop sounding?
YES
NO
4. Oil indicator light inspection 2
Snap the engine (4,000 min
Does the oil indicator light come ON and warning buzzer stop sounding?
YES
NO
5. Buzzer inspection
Turn the combination switch OFF.
Check for continuity between the ECM connector A
terminal and engine ground.
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
6. Oil Pressure inspection
Turn the combination switch OFF and connect the ECM connector A
Reset the ECM following:
– Using the Dr.H (page 5-5)
– Without using the Dr.H (page 5-5)
Check the oil pressure (page 12-10).
Is the oil pressure within specification?
YES
NO
– Perform PGM-FI troubleshooting (page 5-16)
– GO TO STEP 2.
– GO TO STEP 3.
– Adjust the oil level.
– GO TO STEP 4.
– GO TO STEP 5.
