Figure 36.2-1 shows an example of the minimum connection to a PC to program the flash
microcontroller.

For a minimum connection between a PC and the Flash MCU, only a USART in asynchronous mode needs
to be connected. Please refer to the datasheet for an overview of USART channels available for flash serial
programming.
