Action
Check the screws and the joints.
Check the bushing in the upper part of the tele-
scopic shafts for grease leakage.
Some grease can escape from the linear bushing
on the telescopic shaft especially when new or
after re-greasing. If excessive leakage is detected
the seal might be damaged and the telescope then
needs to be replaced.
Check the universal joints for any damage or
cracks.
If damage or cracks are detected, replace the
complete joint.

4.3.1 Inspecting the telescopic shafts
Note
Tightening torque: 35 Nm.
Wipe off residual grease with a dry
lint-free cloth.
