4.4.4 Changing oil, axis-4 and axis-5 gear unit pre-stage
Action
Remove the gear unit pre-stage from the base
unit according to:
• Replacing the axis-4 gear unit pre-stage on
page 265
• Replacing the axis-5 gear unit pre-stage on
page 281
Action
WARNING
Handling gearbox oil involves several safety risks,
see Gearbox lubricants (oil or grease) on page
Dispose the gear oil in a safe way.
WARNING
Used oil is hazardous material and must be dis-
posed of in a safe way. See
page 327 for more information.
Fill new oil into the gear unit.
Action
Refit the gear unit pre-stage to the base unit ac-
cording to:
• Replacing the axis-4 gear unit pre-stage on
page 265
• Replacing the axis-5 gear unit pre-stage on
page 281
