DCC/GCC OSPF Area ID Table—In dotted decimal format, enter the number that identifies the
ONS 15327s as a unique OSPF area ID. It can be any number between 000.000.000.000 and
255.255.255.255. The number must be unique to the LAN OSPF area.
DCC Metric—This value is normally unchanged. It sets a "cost" for sending packets across the
DCC, which is used by OSPF routers to calculate the shortest path. This value should always be
higher than the LAN metric. The default DCC metric is 10. The metric changes to 100 if you check
the OSPF Active on LAN check box in
OSPF active on LAN—When checked, enables the ONS 15327 OSPF topology to be advertised to
OSPF routers on the LAN. Enable this field on ONS 15327s that directly connect to OSPF routers.
LAN Port Area ID—Enter the OSPF area ID (dotted decimal format) for the router port where the
ONS 15327 is connected. (This number is different from the DCC OSPF Area ID.)
