To avoid error, connect fiber-optic cable so that the highest slot on the 15327 chassis represents the east

port, and the lowest slot represents the west port. Fiber connected to an east port at one node must plug
into the west port on an adjacent node.
Inspect and clean all fiber connectors thoroughly. See the

Note You can install the fiber immediately after installing the cards, or wait until you are ready to turn up the
network. See
Plan your fiber connections. Use the same plan for all BLSR nodes.

Plug the fiber into the transmit (Tx) connector of an OC-N card at one node and plug the other end into

LED if the transmit and receive fibers are mismatched.
