Removing the Pre-transfer Charging Assembly Shutter
Unit
<Preparation>
1. Open the Front Cover.
2.Open the Inner Cover. (Refer to "Removing the Primary Charging Assembly")
3. Remove the Pre-transfer Charging Assembly. (Refer to page 4-106)
<Procedure>
1) Move the Shield Plate Retainer Block to open the Shield Plate in the direction of the arrow.

1 Screw (to loosen)
2) Remove the claw at the edge of the Shutter.

3) Remove the spring.
Loosen
CAUTION:
Be careful not to remove the screw and the Screw Gear when removing the Pre-
transfer Charging Assembly Shutter Unit.
4) Hold the screw to remove the Pre-transfer Charging Assembly Shutter Unit while the Motor
Unit is installed.
