INSPECTION FOR WARPING-OF THE FRICTION PLATE AND
FRICTION DISC
Using a ~dial indicator, measure the amount of warping (the .~
flatness) of the friction plate and the friction dTsc on a surface .z
plate by turning the friction plate or disc.
Limit: 0.08 mm (.0031 in.)
INSPECTION FOR WEAR OF THE FRICTION PLATE AND
FRICTION DISC
(1) In order to measure the wear, measure the thickness of the

friction surfaces and prelections of the friction disc and 1
plate, and then find the difference.

Limit: 0.1 mm (.0039 in.)
NOTE

Make the measurement at several different points.

(2) If the parts are~worn beyond the allowable limit, replace
them with new parts.
