Take out the differential
case
assembly
with
a hammer
handle.

the
right and
left side

spacers
separate,
so that they do not-become

Attach the prongs of the special tool to the inner race ofThe

in the differential

9. REMOVAL
OF PRIVE
GEAR
(1) Make the mating
mar&s to the differential
case and the=,
drive gear.

(2) Loosen
the
drive
gear
attaching
bolts
inn: diagonal -{
sequence
to remove
the drive gear.

NOTE

An anti-looseness
agent has been used on the bolts. [f~_:
they cannot
be loosened,
heat the area-to approximate--~-~-
ly 150°C (302°F) vvlth a propane
torch, and then loosen
'
them.

OF SPLINE
COUPLING
MOUNTING

Use the
special
tools
to hold
the
spline
coupling
and

remove
the spline
coupling
mounting
nut.

11. REMOVAL
OF DRIVE
PINION
SC

(1) Make the mating
marks to the drive pinion land spline
coupling.
(2) Drive out the drive pinion together
with the drive pinion
spacer
and drive pinion
front
shims.
