Rear Crankcase Cover Installation - Honda GL1800 Service Manual

GEARSHIFT LINKAGE/TRANSMISSION
Apply molybdenum oil solution to the outer surface
of the reduction gear shaft.
Install the starter reduction gear and shaft with the
large gear side facing out.
REAR CRANKCASE COVER
INSTALLATION
Clean the gasket mating surfaces of the crankcase
cover and crankcase thoroughly, being careful not
to damage them.
Install the orifice into the crankcase.
Coat a new O-ring with engine oil and install it.
Install the two dowel pins.
Apply sealant to the mating areas of the crankcase
as shown.
Install a new gasket.
