IGNITION SYSTEM
Remove the two bolts, wire retainer, grommet and
the ignition pulse generator from the front crank-
case cover.
Clean the gasket mating surfaces of the crankcase
and cover thoroughly, being careful not to damage
them.
Apply sealant to the grommet seating surface of a
new ignition pulse generator.
Apply locking agent to the bolt threads.
Install the ignition pulse generator, grommet and
wire retainer onto the crankcase cover and tighten
the bolts.
TORQUE: 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 9 lbf·ft)
Install the dowel pins and a new gasket.
Apply sealant to the mating surface of the crankcase
as shown.
Install the front crankcase cover and tighten the
12 bolts.
TORQUE: 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 9 lbf·ft)
