Remove the four bolts and control unit holder.

Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor

Remove the seven screws and air cleaner cover.

Replace the air cleaner element in accordance with

the maintenance schedule or any time it is exces-

sively dirty or damaged.

Install a new air cleaner element and the cover.

Install the removed parts in the reverse order of

CRANKCASE BREATHER

• Service more frequently when ridden in rain, at

full throttle, or after the motorcycle is washed or

overturned. Service if the deposit level can be

seen in the transparent section of the drain hose.

Remove the five rubber plugs, five socket bolts and

left cylinder head side cover.
