IGNITION SYSTEM
2. Measure the voltage between the Black/yellow
wire terminal (+) of the ignition coil 4P connector
and ground (–).
There should be battery voltage.
• If there is no voltage, repair the open circuit in
the Black/yellow wire between the ignition coil
and PGM-FI ignition relay.
GROUND LINE
Check for continuity between the Green wire termi-
nal of the ignition coil 4P connector and ground.
There should be continuity.
• If there is no continuity, repair the open circuit in
the Green wire between the ignition coil and
ground terminal.

REPLACEMENT

Remove the center inner fairing (page 2-10).
Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge
control solenoid valve from the stay.
Disconnect the ignition coil 4P connectors.
Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition
coils.
Remove the bolts and ignition coils from the stay.
Install the ignition coils in the reverse order of
