Start the engine.
Is there manifold vacuum?
Y E S
Stop the engine.
Connect the ECU test harness
between the ECU and connector
(page 1 I-21).
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Measure voltage between D17
Y E S
Start the engine and allow it to
idle.
Is there approx. 1 V?
S u b s t i t u t e a k n o w n - g o o d
ECU and recheck. If symp-
t o m / i n d i c a t i o n g o e s a w a y .
replace the original ECU.
