User Guidelines
The interface to be set as an uplink port must be in the VLAN trunk mode only.
Example
switchxxxxxx (config)# interface gi11
switchxxxxxx (config-if)# switchport mode trunk
switchxxxxxx (config-if)# switchport mode trunk uplink
To isolate unicast, multicast, and broadcastbroadcast traffic at Layer 2 from other
protected ports on the same switch, use the switchport protected Interface
Configuration mode command.
To disable protection on the port, use the no form of this command.
