8. TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

8.1 HANDLING
OBSERVE THE ACCIDENT PREVENTION REG-
ULATIONS IN FORCE. ONLY USE THE PROCE-
DURES PRESENTED BELOW AND THE LIFTING
POINTS DESIGNED FOR HANDLING OF THE
PACKAGING AND THE UNIT WHEN THE PACK-
AGING HAS BEEN REMOVED.
POSSIBLE RISK OF CRUSHING. USE SAFETY
SHOES AND PROTECTIVE GLOVES. FOR EX-
CESSIVE WEIGHTS, USE SUITABLE HOISTS,
FORKLIFTS OR OTHER LIFTING MEANS.
The machine is packed to keep all its parts intact. If necessary, the
equipment must be handled and stored in its original packaging or in
suitable packaging.
- HANDLING ON PALLETS: move pallets using the lifting trolley. Pay
attention to the weight indicated on the pallet itself. Check the stabi-
lity of the pallet on the lifting trolley before carrying out the lifting and
moving operations;
- HANDLING AFTER PALLET REMOVAL: To move the electric
pump it is necessary to lift the load using belts, creating an angle of
less than 60 degrees, as shown in the figure:
IT IS NECESSARY TO ENSURE THAT THERE
ARE NO PERSONNEL EXPOSED TO DANGER
DURING THE OPERATION.
DO NOT USE THE LIFTING POINTS ON THE
MOTOR OR ON THE PUMP TO LIFT THE UNIT
AS THEY MAY NOT HAVE BEEN DESIGNED TO
SUPPORT THIS WEIGHT.
HANDLE, LIFT AND MOVE THE MACHINE
SLOWLY, AVOIDING SWAYING. DANGER OF
TIPPING OVER.
8.2 STORAGE
Storage in humid environments with significant temperature variations
or in corrosive atmospheres must be avoided. Any condensation can
affect the seals, metal components and electrical operation.
Also always take into account the operating limits of the pump. Do not
place heavy objects on top of the pump. Failure to comply with good
handling and storage standards will invalidate the warranty.
