4.2 PROTECTION AND SIGNIFICANT PRECAUTIONS

All products are designed with guards over their moving
parts to make them safe. Therefore, the manufacturer de-
clines all liability in the event of any damage caused by
tampering with such devices.
All conductors or live parts are electrically isolated from
the body; there is nevertheless an additional safety ar-
rangement consisting of the connection of all accessible
conducting parts to a earthing conductor, to avoid any
danger if the main isolation system were to fail.

6.1. DESCRIPTION
The product that you have purchased is a vertical/horizontal, multi-stage,
non-self-priming electric pump with variable speed.

6.3 INTENDED USE
The pump is designed for:
- civil and industrial water distribution systems
- washing systems
- water treatment
- pressurisation systems
- irrigation systems
Electric pumps with variable speed are specifically designed for the adjust-
ment of pressure, level and flow. (open-circuit systems).
For applications with drinking water please see the pump manual (6.2.1)
6.4 IMPROPER USE
Improper use of the pump is hazardous and can re-
sult in personal injury and/or damage to property
Improper use of the product may invalidate the

The pumps may not be used for:
- handling dirty water
- highly acidic water
- corrosive fluids
- water at temperatures higher than those indicated in the "TECHNICAL
DATA" chapter
- sea water
- flammable and/or explosive fluids
- fluids incompatible with the pump's construction materials
- outdoor installation without protection against weather conditions
- dry running
- operation in closed-circuit systems

plate attached on the product indicating the main technical data and the
identification code.

8. PREPARATION FOR USE

WARNING
Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician.
Remove the pump from its packaging and lift it or lower
it by using suitable lifting equipment in compliance with
the accident prevention standards.
Warning: the hooks for lifting the motor are not suitable
for lifting the electric pump.
The pressure transducer is already electrically connected
to the unit. Before starting the electric pump with var-
iable speed, you must fill it up, using the 3/8" connec-
tion. Once the electric pump has been filled up, the same
connection can also be used to connect the pressure
transducer (8.2).
