(5) Standard values of vibration for when the
pump and piping have been installed
correctly are shown in the figure at right. If
vibration exceeds these standard values,
inspect the pump and piping to determine the
cause. Probable causes are strains in the
piping and loose anchor bolts. Ebara offers
Ebara vibration absorber frames, Ebara flex
joints, and Ebara pipe silencers (pressure
pulsation absorbers); if vibration absorption
measures are necessary, the user may want
to order these items.

(6) Please make sure there are no loose mounting bolts of the equipment, the terminal screw of
the electrical wiring.
(7) Please measure the insulation resistance of the motor once a month. If insulation resistance
is 5MΩ or more, it does not interfere with driving. When insulation resistance is 1MΩ or less
or 5MΩ or more but suddenly decreasing, it can be guessed the motor is abnormal, so please
repair the pump.

2. Long-term pump stoppage and storage

(1) If you have installed a spare pump, run it from time to time and keep it in good condition so
that it is ready for use at any time.
(2) If a pump is left out of use for prolonged periods in the wintertime or in cold climates, water
inside the pump could freeze, causing damage to the pump. Accordingly, in such situations
provide thermal insulation for the pump, or drain the water from its interior.
(3) If it is not to use for a long period (3 months or more), turn off the power.
(4) If the pump haven't driven for a long period (3 months or more), before driving again, please
check as same as at installation.
