ATTENTION!
DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, ANY
FAULTS OR DAMAGE DUE TO DEFECTS IN DE-
SIGN OR ASSEMBLY BY OUR COMPANY WILL
BE REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE, EVEN IF THE
EN
MACHINE HAS BEEN USED CORRECTLY. THE
COSTS OF THE REPAIR CONCERN THE COM-
PONENTS RECOGNISED AS DEFECTIVE WHILE
WE DECLINE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY OTH-
ER COSTS.
The buyer can require a copy of this instruction by contacting EBARA
Pumps Europe S.p.A. giving the details on the data plate of the pump

6. CONSTRUCTION CHARACTERISTICS
6.1 PUMP OPERATION DESCRIPTION
The GSD pumps are horizontal single-stage pumps. These pumps
coupled through a lantern and a rigid join use the centrifugal effect
of the impeller to move the liquid transforming the kinetic energy into
pressure energy. The inlet is horizontal and the outlet is vertical. The
maximum operating pressure is 16 Bar. These have been designed
with a double bronze ring which optimises the movement of the fluid
inside the pump and allows one of the highest IMEI indices of the
category.
The GSD pumps have nominal performances and main dimensions
according to the EN 733 standard. Connection to an electric motor
with a B5 universal flange is envisaged with the addition of B3 feet
for powers exceeding 11kW. They are available both with cast iron
impeller and with bronze impeller.
The GSD applications include air conditioning and building services,
water supply, industrial applications of various kinds, etc.

6.2 INTENDED USE
Unless EBARA has been previously notified, in general, the equip-
ment must be mounted inside (below roof level), in adequately-venti-
lated rooms and where access is restricted to authorised personnel, in
addition to working within the following limits:
- Ambient temperature: below 40ºC and average temperature, over
24 hours, not exceeding 35ºC. The minimum ambient air tempera-
ture will be 4ºC.
- Humidity: less than 50% at a temperature of 40ºC. Higher humidity
levels can be accepted at very low temperatures.
- Pollution: the air inside the afore-mentioned space must be clean
and non-corrosive or, failing that, the pollution level must be low and
electrically non-conductive through condensation.
- Altitude: the altitude where the pump is installed must not exceed
1000 metres.
6.3 UNINTENDED USE
IMPROPER USE OF THE PUMP CAN CAUSE
DANGEROUS CONDITIONS AND DAMAGE TO
PERSONS AND/OR PROPERTY. UNINTENDED
USE OF THE PRODUCT MAY VOID THE WAR-
RANTY.
If the conditions of use are different from those indicated, EBARA must
be notified of these conditions. If not advised, DO NOT USE in the
following conditions:
- Installation outdoors or in places open to the public
- Any temperature, humidity, and altitude values other than those de-
scribed
- Heavy pollution due to dust, fumes, vapours or salt; exposure to
strong magnetic or electrical fields; locations exposed to risks of
explosion, mechanical vibrations and significant shocks.
- Pumping of corrosive, flammable or explosive liquids, sea water
- Operation without the presence of liquid inside the pump
