Configuring advanced network settings
address becomes unavailable, the router tries the backup IP address. If that IP address is
unavailable, the router tries its backup IP address, and so on.
For example, if the original IP address is 192.168.0.1 with a backup IP address of 192.168.0.2,
setting the IP address in the next row to 192.168.0.2 with a backup IP address of 192.168.0.3
causes the router to try all these IP addresses in succession.
Note
The time that it takes for a connection to an IP address to fail is determined by the
Connect Timeout parameter Advanced Network Settings > Socket Settings section.
