Configuring network interfaces
dhcpv6: The DHCPv6 server is enabled. It will assign addresses from any prefixes the LAN
n
interface has assigned to it to DHCPv6 clients on downstream hosts. RA messages will have
the managed and other config flags set. Prefix options will have the autonomous config flag
clear.
slaac_dhcpv6: Both the RA server and the DHCPv6 server are enabled. RA messages will have
n
the managed flag clear. The other config flag will be set. Prefix options will have the
autonomous config flag set.
subnet_id: (hex string up to 32 characters in length, default value matches the ipv6_lan
instance number)
This value is appended to delegated prefixes and then assigned to the LAN interface.
subnet_id_length: (0-128, default: 8)
Indicates the length, in bits, of the subnet_id. This length is added to delegated prefixes when
creating the subnetted prefix. Note that current behavior is to extend the subnet prefix length to 64
bits if the combined length of the delegated prefix and the subnet_id length is less than 64 bits.
"dhcpv6_server" command
dhcpv6_server configures the DHCPv6 server instances associated with the ipv6_lan instance of the
same value. There are the same number of instances as there are ipv6_lan instances.
Parameters include:
preference: (0-255)
Indicates the preference value that will be advertised by the DHCPv6 server.
"ra_server" command
ra_server configures the RA server instances associated with the ipv6_lan instance of the same
value. There are the same number of instances as there are ipv6_lan instances.
Parameters include:
enabled (OFF, ON)
Enables the RA server.
max_ra_interval (4-1800, default value: 600)
The maximum interval (in seconds) between RA messages.
min_ra_interval (3-1350), default value: 200)
The minimum interval (in seconds) between RA messages. Note that the minimum interval is further
limited to 3/4 of the maximum interval.
link_mtu: (OFF, ON)
RA messages will include the link MTU option when set to ON. The MTU value is set to the configured
interface MTU.
reachable_time: (0-3600000)
The advertised "reachable" time (in milliseconds) in RA messages.
