Configuring network interfaces

Show the IPv6 routing table

IPv6 routing table information may display unfamiliar interface names that have a special meaning
and handling. For example:
TCP 0 refers to the loopback interface. The routing table contains entries that point to this
n
interface for any address that is owned by the device.
NULL 0 refers to the blackhole interface. Packets routed to this interface are dropped. The
n
router adds a route pointing to the blackhole interface when a prefix is delegated to a WAN
interface using DHCPv6. This means that the router drops all packets to that prefix. When the
delegated prefix is subnetted to LAN interfaces, routes to those subnets are also added to the
routing table. As the subnetted routes will have longer prefixes, matching packets will find
those routes before the blackhole route. As a result, any packets to the delegated prefix that
do not match packets to subnets assigned to LAN interfaces are dropped. Without the
blackhole route, packets to unassigned subnets would probably be routed to the default route.
  Command line
Use the route6 print command.
