1. Enter carrier ? to verify which carrier firmware is currently running on the cellular module.
2. Verify that the router has enough available flash space to receive the firmware files.

Action
Displays help text for the carrier command. In
the help text, the available carriers are listed
under the Parameters: heading. Available
command variants are listed under the Syntax:
heading.
Downloads the carrier firmware files to the
cellular modem. The carrier firmware file must
be in flash or on a USB stick. You can also
specify a Master Subsidy Lock (MSL) code, if the
carrier requires it.
Downloads the carrier firmware files from the
Digi FTP repository for the cellular modem's
firmware to the cellular modem. You can also
specify a Master Subsidy Lock (MSL) code, if the
carrier requires it.
Downloads the specific carrier firmware for the
carrier that is active on the module.
Switch to automatic SIM selection or a
preloaded carrier image.
Supported for Telit cellular modules only. Loads
all available carrier firmware onto the cellular
module.
Show status of the current carrier firmware
