B.1.5 Status words for the data exchange / diagnostics via fieldbuses
The safety module and the basic unit exchange data on a regular basis. In this way, important data from
the safety module is sent and is available for data exchange with a functional controller and for dia­
gnostic functions.
The data of the communication objects in the safety module is "mirrored" in corresponding communic­
ation objects in the basic unit.
This data is used for:
– status messages via fieldbusses and digital outputs,
– recording of data using the Trace function of the basic unit.
Tab. B.8 lists the appropriate diagnostic communication objects. This means that the data of the safety
module can be read out in the basic unit via the communication objects 0794h to 0797h.
