Commissioning
4.4.2

Delivery status

From the factory, you receive the safety module in the so-called "delivery status".
This is indicated by the green and red flashing LED as well as corresponding status messages
(è Section 2.10.2, Tab. 2.88).
Special features of the delivery status in comparison to the factory settings:
– The safety module is "validated as a whole" with the parameterisation of the factory setting and is
thus operational. The motor controller can be commissioned, and the output stage and controller
enable can be set.
– All error messages due to a different parameterisation of the basic unit and safety module are sup
pressed.
Hence, you can perform basic commissioning of the motor controller independently of complex
safety-related peripherals. For example, the safety module is parameterised to "Resolver" in the
delivery status. If other encoders are used, the motor controller could not be commissioned without
suppressing the error message of the safety module.
The user cannot restore the delivery status. Only the factory settings can be restored.
4.4.3
FCT PlugIn CMMP-AS and SafetyTool
Basic commissioning of the motor controller takes place using the corresponding CMMS-AS PlugIn for
the Festo Configuration Tool (FCT).
It contains the specification of the hardware configuration, such as the connected motor, the measur
ing systems, the axis and the modules and interfaces assembled in the optional slots.
Parameterisation of the safety module is then performed with special software, the SafetyTool. The
SafetyTool is opened from the FCT PlugIn CMMP-AS.
Please note
Before starting the SafetyTool, you must load and back up the hardware configuration
and any specified specified units of measurement è Section 4.3.
This is necessary for data transfer in the SafetyTool.
