4 Commissioning
4.1

Prior to commissioning

Carry out the following steps in preparation for commissioning:
1. Ensure that the safety module is correctly mounted (è Section 3.1).
2. Check the electrical installation (connecting cable, pin allocation è section 3.2). Are all protective
conductors connected?
4.2 DIP switch settings
DIP switches for activating and controlling the bus configuration are located on the safety module. The
functionality of the DIP switches is identical for all modules in the Ext3 slot and is dependent on the bus
interface used.
Set the DIP switches as described in the hardware description "Mounting and installa­
tion" GDCP-CMMP-M3-HW-... or the corresponding bus-specific documentation, è Tab. 3,
page 11.
