1.4.2 Indicating the Level of Paper on the Deck Front Cover
The drive of the deck lifter motor (M102) is received by a coupling, and is then transmit-
ted to the rack through a drive belt. The rack is equipped with a black belt, moving up and
down within the display window in the deck front cover in keeping with the movement of
the rack.
When the level of paper decreases and, as a result, the lifter moves to pickup position, the
area of the black belt within the display window increases, while the area of white (indicat-
ing the amount of paper) decreases, enabling a check on the level of paper.
