b. Operation
In the case of the right/left deck, two sensors are used to detect the position of the deck
base plate, and the level of paper is identified with reference to the state of the sensors (on/
off).
The absence of paper is detected by an exclusive sensor (See 2.2.3 "Detecting the Pres-
ence/Absence of Paper").
