# After completing the preceding configurations, run the ping command on a QinQ termination
sub-interface of each NPE to ping another QinQ termination sub-interface on the same network
segment. The ping is successful and the link between NPEs is working properly. In the following
examples, NPE1 can ping NPE2.
The sub-interfaces where the mVRRP backup group is configured can ping each other.
[NPE1] ping 10.1.1.253
PING 10.1.1.253: 56
--- 10.1.1.253 ping statistics ---
The sub-interfaces where service VRRP backup groups are configured can ping each other.
[NPE1] ping 10.100.1.253
PING 10.100.1.253: 56
--- 10.100.1.253 ping statistics ---
Each NPE can ping CEs on the same network segment. The links between NPEs and CEs are
working properly. In the following examples, NPE1 and NPE2 can ping CE1.
[NPE1] ping 10.100.1.1
PING 10.100.1.1: 56
--- 10.100.1.1 ping statistics ---
[NPE2] ping 10.100.1.1
PING 10.100.1.1: 56

NOTE
After the IP address is assigned to each QinQ termination sub-interface, running the arp broadcast
enable command is recommended. This command allows the sub-interfaces to ping each other.
