Do nor apply
more sealant than
necessary.
Apply oil to the new O-r ing and inst all it on to the
relief valve .
Insta ll the rel ief valve into t he cra nkcase.
Clean the oi l pan mating surface t horoughly.
Apply T hree Bond 1207B o r an equivalent to the mal-
ing surface.
Install t he oil pan onto the low er crankcase.
Install the oi l pan mounti ng bol t s.
lighte n the all bo lts in a crisscross panern in 2 - 3
steps.
Install the exha ust pipe (page 2-7).
Fill the crankcase with recommended oil (p age 3-17).
After installation, check that the re are no oil leaks.

Remove the three flange bo lts and oil pump
assem bl y.
