REMOVAL
THROTTLE BOD Y
NOTE:
Befo re d isco nnect ing t he fu el hos e, release the fu el
pressure by loos ening the serv ice check bo lt .
A lways replace t he sea ling was her when t he se rvice
check bo lt is removed o r loosen ed .
Di sconn ect the vacuum tubes from the throttle body.
Rem ove the th rottle body sub-harness from the TP
(Throttle pos ition) sensor.
Disconnect the fuel injector connector from the
th ratt le body.
DISASSEMBLY
Refer to page
5-54 for removal
of the throttle
body.
Do not snap the
throttle valve from
full open to full
close after the
throttle cable has
been removed. It
may cause
incorrect idle
operation.
Loosen the ins ulator band screws and remove t he
insulators from the t hrottle body.
BA ND SCREWS
Discon nect the throttle cable ends from the throttle
dr um.
