Make sure that
there is
no
cable
or wire harness
interf erence.

STEERING HEAD BEARING PRE-LOAD
J ack-up the m ot orcycle to raise th e front w heel off t he
grou nd .
Positi o n th e stee ring ste m to t he straight ahead
position.
Hook a sp ri ng sca le to th e fo rk t ube and measure the
steering head be aring pre-load,
Th e pre -load should be within 10 - 15 Nom (1.0 - 1.5
kqf-m ),
If the readings do not f all with in the li m its. lower the
f ro nt wheel to the ground and adjust the stee ring
bearing adjusting nut.
