Inst all the low er crankcase on to the upper crankcase.
Clean th e new crankcase 9 mm bo lt s thoroughly with
solvent and blow t hem dry.
A pply oil t o t he 9 mm bo lt thread s and seat ing surface
a nd inst all t hem .
Install the 10 mm bolt, 6 mm bo lts .
Make sure the up per and lower crankcase are seated
secu rely.
Fro m t he inside to outside. tighten the lower
cran kcase 9 mm bolts (m ai n journal bolts) in a cr iss -
cross patt ern in 2 or 3 steps.
TORQUE : 27 Nom 1 2.8 kqf-rn, 20 Ibf·ftl
Tighten the 10 mm bolt to t he specified t orque. and
then t ighten 6 mm .
TORQUE: 10 mm bo lt: 39 Nom 14.0 kgf·m, 29 Ibfoft}
6 mm bolt: 12 N'm (1.2 kgfom , 9 Ibf·ftl
Inst all the upper crankcase 8 mm bolts and 6 mm
bolts w ith new sea ling washers.
lighten the 8 mm bolts in a crisscross pattern in 2 or
3
steps .
TORQUE: 24 N om (2.4 kqf-rn, 17 Ibf·ftl
Tig ht en t he 6 mm bo lts in a crisscross pattern in 2 o r
3 steps securely.
Ap ply a locking agent to the set plate bo lt th reads.
Inst all t he ma inshaft bea ring set plate w it h it s "O UT
SIDE" mark fac ing o ut .
Inst all and tighten the bo lts to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 12 N·m 11 .2 kqf-m, 9 Ibfoft)
