CLUTCH/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
CLUTCH LIFTER LEVER
Rem ove th e cl utc h lifter lever, return sp ri ng and w ash -
er f rom th e rig ht cran kcase cover.
Check th e lifter lever spindl e for wear or damage.
Check th e return sprin g for fatigue or da mage.

LIFTER LEVER
Check th e lifter lever oil seal and needl e bearings for
wear or damage.
Install the cl utch lift er lever with th e wa sher an d
spri ng in t he reverse ord er of remova l.
CLUTCH
REMOVAL
Remove the right crankcase cover (page 9·3).
Remove the clutch spring bolts, springs and
pressure pl ate.
Remo ve t he cl utch lifter piec e from the lifte r bearing .
Rem ove the fo llowing:
- Clutch d iscs
- Clutch pl at es
- Spri n9 seat
- Judder spring
