FUEL SYSTEM (Program m ed Fuel Inj ecti on)
Rem ove the fuel tube sealing nut.
Install the special nut (Honda Genuine part) and
attach the fuel pressure gauge.
Special nut:
TOOL:

the sealing wash-
er when the fu el
rail sealing nu t
is rem oved or
loosened.
Connect t he battery negativ e cable.
Start the engine.
Read the fuel pressure at idle speed.

If t he fuel pressure is higher than specified, inspect
the following:
- Pinched or clogged fue l return hose
- Pressur e reg ulator
- Fuel pump (page 5-47 )
If t he fue l pressure is lower t han specified, in spect the
fo ll ow in g:
- Fuel line leaking
- Clogged fue l fi lter
- Pressure regu lator
- Fuel pump (page 5-47)
After inspection, remove the fuel pressure gauge and
reinstall and tighten the fuel hose sealing nut using
the new sealing washer.
TORQUE: 22 Nom (2.2 kgf-rn, 16 Ibfoft)

Inst all t he removed parts in t he reverse order of
rem oval.
