Rem ove th e low er cowl (pa ge 2-4).
Rem ove the d rain bolt on t he water pump cover and
drain the system coolant.
Reinstal l t he dra in bo lt w it h t he new seal ing washer.
Tighten the wa t er pum p drai n bo lt t o t he specifi ed
t or qu e.
TORQUE: 12 N'm 1 1.2 kgf·m, 9

Disco nn ect the siphon tube from the rad iato r.
Drain the reserv e tank coolant.
Em pty the coolant and rinse the inside of the reserve
tank with water.
Rein stall the radiat o r sip ho n tu be.
Fill t he syste m w ith the recomme nded coolant
through the filler opening up to filler neck .
Remove the rad iator reserve tank cap and fill the
reserve tank to the upper lev el li ne.
Bleed air from t he system as fo llows:
1. Shift the transm ission into neutral. St art t he engine
and let it idle fo r 2 - 3 minutes.
2. Sn ap t he throttle 3 - 4 t imes to bleed air from the
system.
3. Sto p th e eng ine and add coo lant up to t he proper
lev el if necessary. Reinstall th e radiato r cap.
4. Check t he level of coola nt in the reserve tan k and fill
to the upper level if it is low .
