Rem ove th e dow el pin s and gasket.
Rem ove t he w ire grommet from t he cove r.
Rem ove the bol t s and ig nition pulse gene rato r.
If the engine is
our of the frame,
remove the alter·
nator cover (page
10-2) and hold the
flyw heel with the
flv wheel holder

then remove the
bolt.

Shift the transm ission into 6t h gea r and app ly the rear
brake ,
Rem ove the ig nition pul se generator roto r bol t.
INSTALLATION
Insta ll the ig nitio n pu lse ge nerato r rotor by aligning
th e w ide g roove wit h the w ide teeth of t he crankshaft .
Insta ll the wash er and rotor bolt.
