HYDRAULIC BRAKE
Install and tig hten the pad pin plug.
TORQUE: 3 N·m (0.3 kgf.m. 2.2 Ibf·ft)
BRAKE DISC INSPECTION
Visually inspect th e bra ke disc for da m age or cracks.
Measu re the bra ke d isc thickness w it h a mi crometer.
SERVICE LIMITS:
FRONT: 3.5 mm (0.14 in )
REAR: 4.0 mm (0.16 in )
Repl ace t he brake disc
if
th e sma llest measure ment is
less tha n t he service lim it.
Measure the brake disc wa rp age with a dial in dicator.
SERVICE LIMITS:
FRONT: 0.30 mm 10 .012 in)
REAR: 0.30 mm 10.012 in)
Check the wheel bea ring s for excessive play. If the
warpage exceeds the se rvice limit. repl ace the br ake
disc if t he wheel bear ings are normal.

over these parts

REMOVAL
Drain th e f ron t hyd raulic system (page 15-4).
Di sconn ect the brake ligh t switch wire co nnecto rs .
Rem ov e t he brake hose oil bo lt, sealing washers and
bra ke hos e eye let.
