ALTERNATOR/STARTER CLUTCH
ALTERNATOR COVER REMOVAL
Remov e th e left side cove r (page 2-2 ),
Disconnect the alternator 3P connect or.
3P CONN ECTOR
The alt ernator
cover (stator) is
magnetically
attached to the
flywheel, be care-
ful during
removal.
STATOR

Rem ove th e alte rnato r cover SH bo lts and
alternato r cover.
The eng ine oi l wi ll run o ut w hen th e alternato r cove r
is rem oved. Set a clean o il pa n under the eng in e and
add th e recommended oil to th e spec ified level aft er
installatio n.
Rem ove the gasket and dowel pin.
REMOVAL
Rem ove the altern ator wi re grommet from the
alternato r cover.
Rem ove th e sock et bo lt and sta tor w ire clam p.
Rem ov e the soc ket bolt s and stator.
