Sta rt the engi ne and let it id le.
IDLE SPEED: 1,200 ~ 100 min" (rpm)
The ignition timin g is co rr ect if the index mark on the
ig nition pulse generator cover ali g n w it h t he in dex
li ne of t he " F" m ark and cente r line on the ig nition
pulse generator rot or.
Inc rease t he engi ne speed by tu rning the throttle stop
screw and make sure t he " Fit mark begins to move
co unterclockwise.
Chec k that t he O-ri ng is in good condit ion, replace if
necessary.
Appl y g rease to the ti m ing ho le cap threads and
install the O-ring and timing hole cap .
Tighten the timi ng hole cap to the spec ified torque.
TORQUE : 18 Nsm (1.8 kqf-m, 13 Ibf·ftl
IGNITION SYSTEM
Install the removed parts in the reverse order of

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the rear cowl (page 2-2).
Remove the rear side bolts of the rear fender.
Disconnect the ECM 22P(black), 22P(Gray)
co nnectors.
Rem ove t he ECM.
