the work bench
surface to prevent
possible valve
damage.
Install the valve spri ng with the tightly wou nd coils
facing the combustion chamber.
Insta ll the v alve spring ret ainer.
Inst all the valve cott ers us in g t he special too l as
shown.
NOTE:
To prevent loss of tension, do not com press the
valve spring more tha n necessary.
TOOLS:
Valve spring compressor 077 57-0010000
Valve spring compresso r attachment
07959-KM30101
Tap t he valve stems gently with two pla stic hammers
as shown to seat t he cotte rs firmly.
Install and tighten the spark plugs.
TORQUE: 12 Nom 11 .2 kgf.m, 9lbf·ftl
