BATTERY
Always turn the
ignition s witch
OFF before
remov ing the
battery.
Connect the posi-
tive term inal first
and then rhe neg-
at ive cable.
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Rem ov e th e side cove r (page 2-21 .
Discon nect the battery band and pull out the battery
from the battery case .
Disconn ect t he neg at iv e cabl e and then t he positive
cable, and remove t he battery.
Install the battery in the reverse order of removal.
Aft er install ing the battery, coat the terminals witt)
clean g rease .
Inst all the side cover (page 2-21 .
VOLTAGE INSPECTION
Measure the battery voltage using a digital
multi meter.
