BATTERY/CHARGING SYSTEM
If the reg ulated vo ltage read ing (see page 16-6) is out
of the specification, measure the vo ltage between
connecto r te rm ina ls (wire harn ess side) as f ol lo w s:
If all components of the cha rging system are normal
and there are no loose connections at the regulator/rec-
tifier co nnectors, rep lace the regulator/rectifier unit.
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Disconnect the alternator 3P (White) connector.
Disconn ect the alternator 4P (Wh ite) connecto r.
Remove the two nuts and regulator/rectifier.
Installation is in t he reverse o rder of removal.
