water as soon as possible after handling used oil.
Th e oi l pump can be serviced with the engine inst all ed in the frame .
The service proce dures in thi s sect io n mu st be perf o rm ed with t he eng ine oi l drained.
When rem ovi ng and ins talling th e oil pum p, use care no t t o allow dust or dirt to ent er the engine.
If any portion of th e oil pump is worn beyo nd the speci fie d service li m it s, replace the oil pump as an assembly.
Afte r t he oi l pump has bee n in stal led, che ck that th ere are no oi l leaks and t hat oil press ure is co rrect .
