MAINTENANCE
If necessary, add recom mende d coo lant .
RECOMMENDED ANTIFREEZE :
Pro Honda Coolant o r an equivalent high quality
ethylene glycol antifreeze containing corrosion
protection inhibitors specifically recommended
for use in aluminum engines.
Rem ove th e reserve t ank filler cap and fi ll to t he
"U PPER" lev el li ne with a SO/50 mixture of d istill ed
water and antifreeze.
Reinst al l the fil ler ca p.
COOLING SYSTEM
Rem ov e t he low er cowl and in ner hal f cowl
(page 2· 4).
Check the rad iat or air passages for clogging or
damage.
Straigh t en bent fins . and remove insect s, mud or
other obst ruct io ns w ith compressed air or low water
pressure.
Repl ace t he radiator if th e air f low is rest ricted over
more tha n 20% of the rad iati ng surface.
Inspect the rad iat or hoses for cracks or deterioration.
and replace if necessary.
Check t he t ightness of all hose clamps and f ast en ers.
